Our Story

Vermont Appetit is a labor of love created by a mother and daughter team. Annette and Toni are two passionate impresarios whom strive to cultivate tasteful cuisine that appeal to those with discerning taste. Preparing visually and flavorfully unique food profiles is what we enjoy most! We wanted to share our lovely maple syrup, which comes from the maple trees grown in our Vermont orchard. While working with the syrup, we realized just how versatile our product was. We therefore began using it in the preparations of our many other products.

Our company is now an enterprise that not only offers our delicious maple syrup, but also supplies sweet, homemade treats and savory sauces. These products are made from wholesome ingredients ̶ ingredients originating from local, sustainable sources.

We use Vermont grown farm-fresh produce and we’re proud to keep our components all-natural. Every effort is made to give you quality food that is not only prepared with love and precision, but also tastes outstanding and is worth the indulgence.

Our Maple Syrup!

Our maple syrup is harvested here on site at Singing Frog Orchard. While this may seem to some an unusual name for an orchard, those familiar to Vermont culture can appreciate the moniker. Our sweet singing spring peepers, the smallest frogs of Vermont, are known to chirp their pleasant songs in early spring, signaling the end of sugaring season. It seemed only apropos that we give tribute to them in naming our orchard in their honor. As we begin manufacturing our syrup and preparing our delectable treats, we can enjoy the serenade coming from our peeping friends.

Ta-da! Vermont’s Best Maple Syrup

Ta-da! Vermont’s Best Maple Syrup

Maple tree sap is collected in early spring by Seth, the third leg of this outfit. Seth a native Vermonter and is vastly knowledgeable about the processing of maple syrup and handles the entire modus operandi from beginning to the end. First the trees are tapped, and then the sap is collected. Afterwards, the sap is heated and boiled to reach its optimum concentration. Seth handles all that, too.  When it is ready for bottling, its done quickly and efficiently, seeing to it that our customers get optimal service in receiving the finished product  ̶  high quality Vermont Appetit maple syrup.

Preparation & Packaging

Here at Vermont Appetit, our food is prepared in small batches. Food safety and product quality produced by Vermont Appetit is of paramount importance to us. We take a number of steps to ensure that we meet or exceed the FDA and USDA standards for food safety. Our facility is designed to meet FDA standards and is operated with strict quality and sanitation controls.

To ensure the quality and freshness of your order, our products are heated to the proper temperatures, then cooled in compliance with the USDA Safe Food Handling requirement. We bottle our wares immediately after preparation, sealing each one to lock in freshness and preserve the integrity of the product. The bottles are then stored in a refrigerated environment until each order is ready for shipping.
